I never knew him personally but read thousands of his posts over the years. Thanks Adrian for flying the metal flag and doing so much for the scene.

RIP :(

Shit Adam, I didn't know you posted on here, I'm Gord, Tracey's friend that called Monday with the bad news. thanks for sharing the story, I knew you and Adrian went way back, but I really knew nothing of your relationship with him.

It's hard not to smile when thinking about Adrian, even with tears in my eyes, the guy has me filled with positivity.

I have been kinda down and out for months and months....always eager to be negative....well....I am going to do something about it now. I want to be happier....and I want those around me to be happier...and I am going to use Adrian's spirit as my guidance.

+100, I will indeed try my best to do so as well...

 I know I can never hope to be as enthusiastic about things as Adrian always seemed to be, but I will definitely take a piece of him with me wherever I go.

I just remembered I'd downloaded some photoshops and cut&paste from the board a few years back for a school project and it turns out I still had them. I wish I had the MPB for xmas one from the year before though - that one always made me smile, even when I was in the most rotten mood...

lumen, thanks for posting those. I have a folder full of stupid Adrian photoshops I'll share at a later date. What a joker. We need more jokers in this world, not less.

Everyone should try to be as good a person as MPB. I'll toast to that.

Judging by all of the comments and stories, if everyone was only half as good as Adrian was, they'd still be awesome!

I'll go so far as saying if everyone was only a quarter as good as Adrian was, they'd still be awesome...

not really. even when he was going through his toughest times, he still tried to make other people feel better. There are a lot of personal experiences i could share but i just can't. I will say when i called him on his birthday he had just fallen down the stairs going to the subway. He was in pain, i could tell...but he laughed it off and joked about it.

Gino, you met a lot to him. He always spoke so highly of you. I remember when we drove up to your house he was so excited to see you....and shared stories about you and him the whole drive. By the time we got to your house, I felt like i had been friends with you for years too.

Damn... Another testimonial to Adrian's dedication... My last "conversation'" with him were a few e-mails sent back and forth last Friday about doing an interview with Master. The last e-mail was the one where I sent him the questions, and I pretty much forgot about it after that.

I just received the answers from Paul Speckmann a few minutes ago... Even though Adrian was sick, he still came through and got the job done. I wish I had half his dedication, but I sure can use him as an inspiration.

I have no idea if I can make it to his gathering or not. I'm involved in a medical study that's paying me a huge sum of cash right now, but I don't yet know what the set dates for it are. I'll attend for sure if I'm able to.

Post Re: Adrian 'The Energizer' Bromley - Rest In Peace
I just heard the word last night when my wife told me she had stumbled across it... I never met the man, but how could anyone in tune with the Canadian Metal scene not know Adrian? His impact through M.E.A.T. and Unrestrained! (and this board) remains, judging by all the comments of people whose lives he touched... I feel bad I never sold him that Demon vinyl now, wish I had followed up on that. To his family, friends and colleagues, I hope you find the strength to get through these dark days. If there is a way we can get across the country for the 17th we will, it just seems right to pay tribute to a man who has a force in this scene we all love so much. I don't know what it is about December and metal's fallen heroes but it's making me begin to despise this month...

RIP Bunnyman...

I would post my own pics, but photobucket is blocked here at work. I might have to take a trip to the library to be able to do so.

i just found the vhs of stuff we filmed in 2003 when Ade, Kevi, Chris and Adam came down for metalfest. I am going to try to get it put on my computer next week.

the video reminded me....
I had moved into that apt a few months before the metal fest...and purposefully set up the guest bedroom as far away from my room so that when Adrian stayed over his snoring wouldnt keep me awake. It didn't work.

I had an opportunity to meet Adrian in person as I stood pretty close to him at one of the recent shows...I should have introduced myself, but I didn't and now I very much regret it.

RIP

I had the honor of meeting Adrian a few years back through Beast. This is a tragic loss, my condolences to all friends and family.
