It wasn't even new. Just a re-release of 2014's Last Patrol with some recently-discovered B-sides.

incorrect, Milking the Stars , was the ' redux ' of Last Patrol, Cobras and Fire is the ' redux ' of Mastermind, both a wayyy different from their predecessors, and highly recommended if you prefer a more 60's spacy vibe

I still have to get Milking the Stars, but Cobras and Fire is goddamn incredible. I liked Mastermind plenty but the redux is way better

Any Monster Magnet fans who think they don't need to buy these ' redux ' because they have the originals couldn't be more wrong, Wyndorf has completely changed the songs, some bear little resemblance to the originals

I had this one on my list as well. I am surprised nobody else did.

There's some incredible riffing in this album, especially My Bodom, Morrigan and Horns. If I re-did my list though it's placement would slip a little. I gave it a couple re-fresher listens the past couple weeks and it has a very noticable lesser second half. Also Alexei Laiho is getting more accustomed to including multiple slower songs in the albums, instead of the usual single.

Bodom goes over here about as well as a fart in church. I like 'em fine, but they're pretty much universally disliked here.

Follow the Reaper is one of the best albums of 00's in my opinion, and Hatebreeder is almost equally as amazing. COB all the way for me though; I like all their albums. Perhaps a little immature on the lyrical end, but first-class song writing and performances on all fronts.
