You have to ask Señor Misfortune. I understand it in theory, but thats it. Its some code algorithm in terminal that I plugged documents and files into and it spit out numbers.

not bad, a little disappointed that Trial wasn't in there

Yeah I don't go and read every single person's list, but I've heard much mention of Trial around here, and not much of Drowning The Light, which made the list (as well as mine). I wonder who else had DTL on their list, as it had to have been more than just me. I am assuming one vote isn't enough for a ranking.

That Trial album was cool, I get sort of an Arch era Fate’s meets Mercyful Fate vibe from it. Really though, the songs don’t quite grab me like I want them to. It wasn’t in my top 30, but it was close. I will continue to follow the band, and hope that better things are in the future.

Trial was on two lists as was the Drowning The Light album. But I guess placement made the difference.

This might be the best list that has come out of this thing ever, very balanced with things like Macabre Omen making the top 10. You guys are sleeping on Magic Circle though, that album is brilliant, and having it at 42 is not good enough. I will chalk some of that up to it coming out late in the year, but still… Give this thing a few spins folks, fans of doom and traditional metal should be raving about this.

Also, I think that newer era Ahab needs more love. What a great album, and I feel like nobody listened to it.
