In other news...

Yesterday evening the Quebec province got liberated from liberals!
The CAQ victorious by a large margin.

Both PQ AND the liberals got a historic beating never seen for 50 years.

Congratulations to our new Premier, François Legault!

Let's see how this goes. Seeing the curriculum of key players in the party, the province will be managed by a bunch of entrepreneurs instead of the traditional lawyers that were in the Libs and PQ.

First the Ontario libs get their asses kicked, then the Quebec libs. Both of Canada's largest provinces reject the liberals to elect center-right parties. Conservatives also won New Brunswick for the first time in a while.

Next year we'll see the provincial conservatives win big in Alberta.

These are all very bad omens for Trudeau's Liberals.

Yep. Good riddance.

That Scheer guy is as charismatic as cow chips. Our federal Liberal-Conservative slow dance needs a kick in the nuts just like the CAQ just did in Quebec. NPD came close with Jack, but I don't see this possible at the moment. I wonder how much people can Maxime Bernier rally with his new PPC party? He will surely ride the CAQ wave in Quebec, potentially dilutiong the conservative vote and allowing the Liberals to win many counties.

I don't think Bernier's party will do well outside of Quebec. Scheer can become Prime Minister without Quebec, just like Stephen Harper did.

https://globalnews.ca/news/4407528/its- ... f-elected/

newly elected right wing quebec party will take steps to raise age limit to 21 and restrict home growing

but fuck 'dem libs right?

also in ontario, get ready to say goodbye to long overdue employment standards gains. the min wage increase was always a bullshit ploy to win votes that was hair brained from the start, but most of the rest were great improvements for workers' rights. i'd say i hoped this would lead for a push for more unionization again, but that's been demonized so much i'm sure it won't happen.

Fuck, I can't even remember the last time I saw a stripper who could possibly be 18. That's like... the holy grail and shit.

Not just a timeout. You need some indigenous cultural sensitivity training, complete with sweat lodge session with elders, smudges and circle counselling.

OMG, did we Quebeckers manage to finally elect ourselves a PM with a spine?

Less than 2 days after the election, Legault wasted no time in getting the secular charter on the table, using the nowithstanding clause if required to forbid government employees in position of authority to use religious symbols  :thumb:

Turdeau wasted no time retorting his SJW rhetoric to Legault... the SAME soapbox crap that just lost Couillard his job.

True.

On the other hand, unlike the tories, Trudeau CANNOT hope to win without the support of Quebec.

So, he better play nice with Legault or he's gonna get clubbed next year, even if the severely weakened Conservative party lost a chunk of their base to Bernier.

It might well turn out to be a tight 4-way race between Scheer & Trudeau for 1st and 2nd place, and with Singh and Bernier vying for 3rd.

95% of voters on the island of Montreal will vote for Trudeau, you can count on that.
