Israel going to do whatever the hell they want because they know the U.S. won't condemn them for it. So any foolhardy plan of non-aggression will result in more government sanctioned slaughter.

The best play the Palestinians have is to stop fighting and show Israel to be the only aggressor. By counter-attacking, they are justifying Israel's war against them in the eyes of its supporters. Supporters who would otherwise be forced to retract and leave Israel to fend for itself if no such justification was available. Israel would then be seen as the only aggressor, and its landgrab campaign would be that much more obvious and difficult to deny. By sending their kids into the line of fire, Palestinians are playing right into Israel's hands and giving the regime exactly the excuses it needs to further its ambitions.

I've said this for years. Hamas and their pissy little rockets have no useful military effect, other than giving Netanyahu and his sort the perfect excuse to drop some real bombs and bulldoze more homes. However, walking up towards the wall unarmed, and being mowed down is just as good, maybe very effective - as long as they ditch any sort of violence and play it like Gandhi, or all those old Christian martyrs in the days of ancient Rome. That's hard to do - people are angry, and every Palestinian who dies has like 8 relatives who are gonna freak the fuck out. I'm not sure that Hamas is capable of being that stoic.

He's right. They need to get the fuck out, let Assad win the civil war, and stop acting like that country is a toy for them to play with.

I'm sure the Americans will pull out of Syria with no difficulty whatsoever and will leave the country virtually undamaged as when they came charging in. ;)

Oh look, Israel will actually investigate the death of an unarmed Palestinian nurse executed by IDF soldiers.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-06-03/i ... se/9828544

Of course it will just be a hollow gesture and nothing will come of it.

Quote:
On Friday the United States, Israel's ally, vetoed a Kuwaiti-drafted UN Security Council resolution that condemned Israel's use of force against Palestinian civilians.

Later, a second, US-drafted resolution that blamed Hamas for the violence and upheld Israel's right to defend itself failed to attract any other country's support when it was put to vote in the 15-member council.

Do you think the world has had enough of Israel? Seems like it.

"Esplain to us, soldier, why you shot that nurse with your sniper rifle."
"She was carrying a weapon."
"She's a nurse, she was carrying a syringe."
"Well, it's sharp - she could have injured one of us with it."
"How do you figure?"
"Well, if she came running at us through the razor-wire, then scaled the 10 metre wall, then ran another 200 metres to where we were standing, she might have been able to job us where we didn't have body armor or helmets."
"Well... sounds like a justified shooting to me!" :drum:

Even the small & poor countries who usually sell their UN vote to Israel wouldn't vote yes to that one.

And Israel finally found a sucker dumb enough in 2018.

Back in Australia, the driver who killed people on a rampage in Bourke St mall a few years ago... well, it turns out he's christ re-incarnate, the second coming, the messiah. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-06-13/b ... ah/9864538

Thinking back to all the accusations of Muslim terrorist, fear mongering, hatred... this is pure fucking irony. I love it.

Yeah, no surprise. Just more evidence that there is a Zionist-Wahabbist-Evangelical Axis, acting together despite all the rhetoric they use to stoke up the public against each other culturally.

Speaking of the Axis ...

Looks like the Aussie military likes to shame itself sometimes too:

Quote:
Australian soldiers flew Nazi swastika flag from vehicle in Afghanistan;

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-06-14/photo-shows-nazi-flag-flown-over-australian-army-vehicle/9859618

Memo to soldiers: do not forget which side your country was actually on. :bad:

Saw that yesterday and thought the timing was great for the ADF given the weekend news uncovering Aussie war crimes overseas. Certainly takes the spotlight off of those acts, doesn't it?

Bad economic policies (mostly socialist) kills more children than war: https://humanprogress.org/article.php?p=439

The article compares Venezuela and Chile, two very similar countries 60 years ago, and talks about how Chile prospered after their Capitalist revolution, and how suffering in Venezuela remained under Socialism.

In fact, it's probably the best "real-world" experiment comparing the two economic systems that you can ask for. For all the societal ills that Capitalism brings, they are a drop in the bucket compared to the mass suffering under Socialism.

So what you're saying is, a tyrannical dictator like Pinochet is good for a country? If that were true, why is Africa's infant mortality rate so high? Certainly no communist states there.

Strangely, many of the Euro states and Scandinavian countries have the lowest rates, and their policies are... :? You betcha, more socialist than capitalist. Norway reclaimed all of it's oil assets, nationalized them and they're tied for 4th lowest rate.

So... there's that. Funny what happens when you actually look into the data.

PS: Cuba has the lowest mortality rate in the entire western hemisphere.

He didn't say Pinochet or dictators like him are good. You've made that up. You make stuff like that up a lot. Just because someone doesn't like A doesn't automatically mean they approve of B.
