OMG, NO, NOT CHINA!!|

Wait, they did it with other phone manufacturers too? So... who fucking cares? Has nothing to do with China. Samsung surely would have had the same deal, Apple very clearly did too.

Quote:
The partnerships were used for older phones to make Facebook work or at least work better, according to the company. Newer phones are more powerful and don't need such data sharing. Nonetheless, Facebook didn't get around to reviewing these partnerships until after the Cambridge Analytica scandal developed.

Apple said it has worked with Facebook for years to let users share things on Facebook through iPhone and Mac apps. Apple said it used data pulled in from Facebook to let people post photos and other items on Facebook without opening the Facebook app. It ended that practice on the iPhone last September, although similar features persist on Mac computers.

Use an app to book doctor appointments at your local clinic? It may not be a straightforward as that. App with 15 million users per year in Australia caught out for sending patient details to ambulance chasing lawyers. Convenience isn't always worth it.

Facebook, Google and Microsoft push users away from privacy-friendly options on their services in an "unethical" way, according to a report by the Norwegian Consumer Council.

  • privacy-friendly choices being hidden away
  • take-it-or-leave it choices
  • privacy-intrusive defaults with a longer process for users who want privacy-friendly options
  • some privacy settings being obscured
  • pop-ups compelling users to make certain choices, while key information is omitted or downplayed
  • no option to postpone decisions
  • threats of loss of functionality or deletion of the user account if certain settings not chosen

Rob Schneider called, he wants his comedic timing back.

Keep on believing the word of a one toothed burnout because that's how desperate you are to get rid of me. You'll never admit that you fell for an obvious lie because you're a giant hypocrite or just fucking stupid. Probably a combination of both.

I would never overestimate your capacity to be fooled, you're a Leafs fan after all. :)

I'm not into this RR pilfering of this sort. Until I am presented with some type of proof.... because I definitely wasn't around to see it for myself. It's a lot of hearsay

Translation: It's okay to do it since I don't want to admit to being wrong and not look like the cheapest little bitch in the process.

Malls have been tracking cell phones and siphoninng user data from people's devices for quite some time now. Couple that with the above and you have a total Orwellian shopping situation.
