Nevermind, wasn't during a soccer game.

Ariana Grande concert, so it was mostly young kids - tweens, early teens.
Seriously, wtf is wrong with people. Whatever deeply held belief you have, if targeting little girls makes sense to you, your beliefs are wrong.

How does a guy strapped with a bomb get into a concert?

Apparently - preliminary theory only - the concert had just ended, so the doors of the stadium were all opened up; the bomber ran inside and detonated among the close press of exiting people just inside the doors.

It sounds like he was just outside in one of the public gathering areas as the masses started to exit. Noise was so loud even heard from indoors thus leading to panic and rushing to get outside. Again, that was early belief being pushed on the tv.

They will naturally start telling us that we are killing their women and children so they used that to kill mostly women and children at this concert.

Well, the point is: Bomberman did not really slip past security, so much as wait until typical security precautions were moot.

The arena is right next to the Manchester train station, with a number of interconnecting passages and walkways. Apparently this happened in one of those areas.

Random destructive attacks like this are becoming far too common. I mean, does anyone even really remember the slaughter in St Petersburg last month? Probably not. We can't even keep up with this shit anymore. It was preferable when the civilized world DIDN'T have to deal with something like this every other week.

And of course, the suspected attacker was already known and closely watched by authorities. Leaders need a gut check and do something constructive to solve this problem instead of being reactionary to bullshit like this all the time. Fuck people's hurt feelings. Innocent lives are at stake because of destructive vindictive people.

Agreed. And the fact that these beliefs are still accepted by the civilized world is mind boggling.

I'd take issue with one point. It's not random.

Well, this is my problem with (after every one of these bombings) the call for more intrusive mass surveillance. It's already clear that it does not help. They are already up to their eyeballs in data. The problem is not that they have no information; the problem is that they do not take the information they already have seriously.

That and the fact that they expect us plebs to bear the brunt of these jihadis' craziness, while shipping their masters billions of dollars in armaments every fucking year.
