Roll The Bones

Definitely my least favorite. That album is also one of my least favorites, aside from Bravado and Ghost of a Chance.

I went with Limelight, but I almost chose Subdivisions. There's really too many good choices.

I like Roll the Bones (the album and song) if you get rid of the rapping skeleton. Dreamline is a great song too.

Could be Afterimage, I'm not sure. Most certainly something from Signals or GUP.

GUP came out a few months before my dad died. Afterimage has always been special to me, for that reason in particular.

Counterparts came out a year before my mom died. I would play Rush and Steely Dan in the car, and she'd listen mostly for the lyrics, which she'd analyze. She liked Time Stand Still, but she really connected with Everyday Glory, from Counterparts. That verse about the parents fighting, while their little girl hides in fear, described her childhood. So even though Everyday Glory is merely a decent song, it's also special to me.

Every tune on that list is amazing, tough to pick one. I went with Red Barchetta today. The PW/MP era of Rush was when I discovered them when I was a young dude, so those songs hit me a bit more. Barchetta has great production, love the lyrics/storyline. I'll throw out some love for Afterimage as well, and Chemistry from Signals.

No such thing as bad Rush.

Lakeside Park because it's where I grew up, where I got drunk for the first time, where I had a whole lot of fun.
