I'll just drop this here because why not? There's a Korn thread. :)

Post Re: Limp Bizkit
If you remove Fred Durst's rapping from the first album it's pretty solid musically, and he objectively was less embarrassing as a frontman at the time despite being tough to take seriously these days even for nostalgic value. The second one had some hits but was a clear sign of what was to come, which was Durst's entire persona and poor spitting taking over all aspects of the band and draining what little musical cohesion was left. I can definitely see why they because one of the most hated bands, but I maintain that if they'd broken up before Chocolate Starfish they would be just be remembered as one of a few first wave nu acts that didn't sound like a xerox of their influences played by ten year olds. I remember the peak of nu metal's commercial heyday well, and believe me, there were countless dozens of horrid filler bands with major label deals at the time appearing out of nowhere, doing a couple of tours opening for huge bands and then disappearing (see Skrape, No One, Pressure 4-5, etc.). It essentially was the millenial equivalent of hair metal in the 80s, or post-hardcore/wimpier metalcore a few short years later. Not sure what the current version of that would be - Five Finger Death Punch style butt rock? Attila style butt slam? Without music video channels keeping up with the mainstream heavy stuff isn't as easy being that most respectable blogs and websites won't touch it, but I suppose not being in junior high anymore helps with not giving a shit.

Their "music" has always been more Pride Parade.

The fact that Shaggy is a wrestler as well is just shameful.

I have seen every one of those bands. Didn't like them then, don't now

Ozzfest, man. I've seen fucking Primer 55 multiple times. I blame Sharon Osbourne for my mental state.

Only know a couple of the hits I guess. I can only think of Faith, because it's not even their song. Can't think of the names of any others. Never heard an album or had any interest in hearing an album.

Edit: oh wait... Nookie.

Supposedly George Michael "hates the cover and hates us for doing it" in the words of Wes Borland.

You more than likely know "Rollin'" as well, as its arguably their "signature song". Even my dad, who was well beyond the age of being "in the know" with what was popular with the MTV oriented crowd when LB were current, confirmed to know it even earlier this year, nearly 20 years after its release.
