Since nobody else is willing to say it I will, the Monstrosity was a bit of a letdown. I expect more out of that band and less out of Deicide, but that's not what we got.

I sort of agree with you about the Monstrosity, but I think it's still a very good album. The Deicide is good too, but I think that their last album was just as good. I don't know if either album is year end list material, depends on how things stack up when I start looking at what I have from this year. Both are really good death metal albums, neither blew me away.

The Monstrosity wasn't expected to be mind-blowing to me, just a continuation of how solid they are. It was, imo. A really solid DM album.

The Deicide was a surprise to me because I haven't really enjoyed anything they've done in years. Maybe Scars of the Crucifix? Maybe even father back than that. Cover art is great, too. First one in a while that harkens back to that sinister vibe as far as I'm concerned.

I found all three albums boring as fuck.

Really?!

The Jungle Rot I get. Jammed it and instantly forgot about it. The other two I thought were solid as hell. The Deicide surprised the hell outta me. Very old school.

The Monstrosity was to clean
The Deicide didn't sound like Deicide and the drums were fucking lame
Same with The Rot.

Haven't heard them. Don't foresee hearing them. Don't forehear hearing them.

Similar here, though may check out the Deicide.

Know of the other two, don't think I've ever heard them.
