For some reason I thought they played a couple years ago. Or were they announced and then cancelled? Or maybe it's just because MDF starts announcing bands for the next year like as soon as the festival ends.

Yeah they canceled the only time they were scheduled to play MDF.

They even told them that they were definitely not playing anything old. That just would've been weird as hell and way out of place.

Yeah I was just looking at their setlists earlier. Pointless to have that at MDF. A shame that they don't want to play some of that black metal. Or an all black metal set. That would rule and I'd consider travelling for it. Eventually they'll probably have to. But what do I know, maybe metalheads, or people in general love their non-metal stuff. I don't know much of it outside of Shadows of the Sun.

A second show has been added. Pretty impressive selling out a 1025 capacity club in a day.

Yeah it’s at Irving Plaza. Tickets aren’t cheap either at $36.50.

Of course you'll have a bad impression of Toronto if you only focus on the pimps and C.H.U.D.s.

apparently wintersun's new guitarist didn't make it in to canada (apparently he's waiting in ohio to rejoin the tour teaching guitar lessons to make up cash  )

odds are they'll play to a backing track so jari can focus on his stupid kimono duties, but hoping he at least he picks up the guitar for some of the older songs

Sounds like a bit of a kick to the balls since you travelled to your most hated Toronto and then the mini-heatwave and now this with one of your favourite bands. My condolences, that kinda sucks.

meh. playing to a backing track is kind of lame, but more disappointed that jari isn't playing guitar than i care that what's his name didn't make it across the border

show was great, venue was great (thank fuck for the op house pumping air into the venue), but i'm happy to be the hell out of TO. took forever to get out of the city, glad to be home.
