If you don't like Type O Negative you can get fucked and I don't fully trust your musical recommendations anymore.

Now would be a good time for a new Dispirit demo. Or maybe something from White Phosphorus? A new Asunder/The Gault would be more than awesome, but I'm keeping my hopes in check. Basically, I wish John Gossard would just go back in the studio already.

Dispirit never tickled my pickle for some reason. Worship The Gault and Asunder though. Is either band even active at this point? I think I may listen to Even as All Before Us tonight.

County Road, Six Miles In

Haven't listened to that shit in a while.

Are bands that ship CDs via Bandcamp having a bit of an issue in shipping lately? I ordered two albums from bands that sell their CDs via Bandcamp, in the first half of January, and thus far, neither has arrived.

I think the Gault was a one-off thing and Asunder, while not officially dead, is most probably a thing of the past too. 'A Clarion Call' is one of the best funeral doom metal albums out there, no question. So at least we got that. And yeah that Gault album rules hard too. My life just needs more Gossard right now.

So, I have this Amon Amarth DVD on that I mentioned in the now playing thread. It's got each of the first four albums played in their entirety on 4 nights in a row in 2008. It just dawned on me that that means that the band had to have every song on their first 4 albums rehearsed to the point where they could nail them live. That's over 30 songs, and most of the songs had probably been out of the set list for nearly a decade. Seems pretty impressive to me, even if their music isn't overly technical.

Yeah, I remember thinking the same thing when that happened. Even if the songs aren't particularly difficult, it was still impressive.

Opened up a CD case and found no CD. That's the third one I've found like that. Used to have a bad habit of switching the cds around while driving because I didn't feel like grabbing the empty one. Always said I would sort it out when I get home. I look at all my cds and think, well it's in there somewhere.
