I have that but it's been years since I've listened to it. I got it and a Pustulated ep at the same time. Probably been a decade since I've listened to either.

That Regurgitation album is pretty awesome, and it's hard to find these days. They changed their name to Necrotic Disgorgement and put out a couple solid albums that are worth checking out.

That's a good album. I always meant to buy something else from them, but I never did.

Saw Deteriorot last year and they smashed. Didn't buy anything, but I'd definitely go see them again.

 True, but only because people tend to get lazy in labeling things that they don't like. People also seem to have have a weird prefrence for trying to put things that they don't like into a different musical catagory as opposed to just saying I the style, and not a band that plays it.

I think that deathcore usualy has elemets of metal core, so maybe melodic or clean sung parts. Slam bands make breakdowns the song, and tend to string them together with minimal and lack luster connective tissue. They always look for the quickest and easiest way to set up another breakdown.

Brutal death metal is just really gutttarl death metal. It invented the big breakddowns that Slam band's abuse, but an album might have five of them spread across it, where a slam band would have like 3 in each song.

Dug it out today. Not a great recording, big surprise, but reminds me a lot of really early Internal Bleeding. Good shit.

True, but the poor recording is part of the charm for me when it comes to brutal bands from that era. It dates some of those albums in a way, but it takes me back to that time too.
