The Round of 64 begins!

And for the record (and obviously it does depend on what album the band went up against), Rage Against the Machine got more support than bands like Obscura, Cult of Luna, Soilwork, In the Woods..., Vintersorg, Ahab, and Gridlink. :)

Anyway, we're getting closer to our winner!

Haven't had time to check out this weeks threads. Will do so tonight. Busy busy. I've only had enough time lately to piss people off about hockey for the most part. :)

What's a hockey? Is it anything like StarCraft? Zealot Hockey ne1?

Brackets updated.

There's lots of albums I'm rooting for in this week's brackets. A shame to see some of them go.

The four polls this week conclude the Round of 64! And holy smokes, Agalloch - who I thought could at least make it to the quarter-finals - were removed from the bracket.

Cannibal Corpse is also the only band that started with two albums at the beginning of this tourney that won't have two albums going into the Round of 32!

Is anyone else surprised with any of the results so far?

it'll be curious after this tournament is over and finished how it might have played out if the brackets had have seeded differently, what albums people expected to go the distance that didn't.

Deicide ‘s Legion getting bounced in the first round was unexpected.
Also surprised with how fresh in everyone’s memories and universally liked that Power Trip are that they didn’t make it further.

I figured Moosorrow had a good shot at competing for a while.
Nope.

Relaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I usually get them up by 6:30-7:30am, EST. I'm a couple of minutes shy from it.

Anyway, we've made it to the Round of 32! I have no idea who is going to take it!

It would have been very hard for me to make a list, but I suppose I could have done something. Chances are most of what I would have chosen would have been used anyways, because as you suggested, too cool. :)

They had two albums in the bracket and now Cannibal Corpse is out! Who's next? Can both Darkthrones, Emperors, and Opeths make it through?

Glad Slough Feg put up a hell of a fight, great album.

I'm always glad to see an upset. People deepthroat Feg like a motherfucker around here, so I figured they'd go pretty close to the final round. Shit-talking Feg here is like expressing a non-militant leftist view on Reddit. It ain't gonna end well.
