You're finding some really cool stuff....that Entierro songs was excellent....great, topical lyrics, and Freedom Hawk was nicely groovy.

Thanks

If you guys like that Carnation, or Grave (which sounds nothing alike, sorry Dan), there's no reason you wouldn't like these guys. Album came out earlier this year.

I liked Entierro's demo they came out with a few years back, started following them on bandcamp at that point. Only thing that bothers me about them is they like to release things in cassette format only, very limited copies, and as a child of the 70's and 80's I will never go back to listening to cassettes.

Freedom Hawk has been around for awhile, 4 or 5 albums, my favorite was "Holding On" which is about 7 years old.

it came out soooo early this year, that it was,in fact, last year.

I agree....I grew up on cassettes in the 80's and gladly ditched them for cds in the mid 90's....so rather strange physical media issue for them. Right now I could understand just vinyl issues, but cassette leaves me thinking that they figure that it'll be the next hot, hipster media (some local bands here are issuing stuff on cassette lately).

I'll have to dig into that Freedom Hawk catalog, good to hear that they have a good track record.

When it comes to cassettes, it sounds like you've been living under a rock.

Those Freedom Hawk vocals are incredibly weak and the other band is confusing.

No....I lived through cassettes and had hoped we'd never see them again....yet here we are in 2018 pretending it's the 70-80's....I suppose it's still not too late for an 8-Track revival while we're at it.....or perhaps reel-to-reel is more "retro" therefore "better"...<sigh>

Don't even need Attic. Some things should not be 'cloned'.

I disagree. This year's Carriage "Visions" album is the best KD clone album I've heard. Much better than Attic and Them.

I had more or less given up on them after 'Scenes From Hell' but for some reason I have a good feeling for this one.

Not interested in the SIGH, lasted 30 seconds into that song. Scorn Defeat and Infidel Art are all you need from SIGH.
