Thanks for the good words. Like I said, I was just being a cranky old men. I'll keep on bothering you all with my terrible music :)

Oh and The Fall, Wire and Gang of Four

I'm with you, I'm going to check the band you posted. I agree about the Melbourne thing, Australia in general. There seems to be a bunch of rowdy girl bands. Chick's that rock, make me stoked. Stuck on Camp Cope ( which is overtly feminist, shows that it's about music, because I'm opposed to most of that nonsense ) right now and of course TFS and their members other bands. All have moments, although Headquake would scoff at all of them.

I need to check out more Silversun Pickups soon. I love Carnavas but just kind of didn't bother following up. Shit, that album is 12 years old now.

As a bumper on the radio this morning on the FAN 590 they used that song "Home for a Rest" and I've had it stuck in my head since.

You know the one. At least Canadians do. You'll have to excuse me I'm not at my best I've been gone for a week and been drunk since I left. Did this classic pub song make it outside of Canada?

Song brings back a lot of good memories of entire bars and pubs and house parties singing it in college/uni towns in my early 20's.

Don't waste your time. If you've been in a Canadian bar near fratbros, you've heard it. It's shit.

A catchy fun song but I also agree with Exorcist on it as well.

That said, Spirit Of The West were pretty entertaining live when I saw 'em in Whistler during the Olympics and they killed that song. Turned out to be one of their last shows after their frontman was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease though.
