Awesome, love the song. They would prolly dig modern day Opeth over that album for sure.

Post Re: (Lost in Vegas) Reaction Videos:
At first I was amused by the original Megadeth video, however, not enough to check out their other videos. But I've just binge watched a whole bunch and I'm really entertained by these dudes. They definitely deserve every like and subscription that they get, and hopefully this foray brings them some cash.

I also feel that Dave Mustaine really did a solid by tweeting or posting or whatever, their original video of Holy Wars, because they seem to have gotten a lot more popular afterwards. Ironically also, they may have the potential to make more cash via youtube videos than the bands themselves!

I like the approach that they don't do too much research before checking it out. And what they ended up liking vs not liking makes a lot of sense considering their hip hop background. People clamoring for them to do the Opeth reaction are idiots... that is too abstract for them in their current comfort zone. Unless you have some type of familiarity with progressive rock music, which these guys don't really, it's something that flies above your head completely. That is DESPITE the fact that I think they did a better job at the Dream Theater review because they could latch onto more elements in it

Also, the Suicidal Tendencies song that they really should have done is Trip at the Brain, however, I totally understand that they did the other song because of the tragic story of one of their subscribers. Genuine dudes who are not full of themselves, I have no qualms about continuing to support these guys

I think my fave so far is probably YYZ.

Kinda funny watching a couple of black, hip-hop fans have an orgasm to Rush -- to me, one of the 'whitest' of the prog outfits.

Also enjoyed their take on "One.' Their insights actually rekindled my affection for that song. Not having listened to it in ages, i had kind of consigned it to the waning of Metallica. But i can see now that it is the one song on AFJA which stands up to the two previous albums. It has the feel of a Burton-arrangement.

although I (quickly) grew to love Danzig, I recall having the same reaction upon hearing this in '88: i thought it was a joke.

Oh, Danzig is certainly a joke. A great joke, and some killer music, but definitely a joke.

Not able to watch it yet, but I'll assume it'll be a better reaction than Raining Blood.

Way better reaction overall.

They need a groove, and I totally get that, and I respect it. They will most likely never get into the high beats per minute/blast beat tunes that most metalheads like.

The dude with the glasses LOVES percussion, so I'm not surprised he got so into Rush. I'd love to see their take on Larks' Tongue Pt. 2 or Red.

They're alright. Ive watched more out of curiosity than actually enjoying their personalities or anything. Theyve largely figured out a lot of nuances of the genre. I don't like that the kid is pause happy. He ruins the flow even for himself as a listener.

There's times where they latch onto a really bullshit plain Jane riff and seem amazed like noobs.

I did enjoy watching their rythmic confusion listening to Meshuggah. They (like everyone) have no clue what they're moving their heads to.

Well, that's because they are. :?

I mean, that's what we were like when we heard those "plain/bs riffs for the first time.

True, and yes I think they would love some vintage Crimson.

At any rate, I'm rapidly losing interest in metal and this is one thing that helps stoke the dwindling embers.

They explained that it's partially to combat copyright claims from record labels.
