It's an average album but fans of Decap (myself included) will find things to enjoy. It won't make my list, but it has its moments.

Not really. There are a couple of moments here or there, but groove is hardly the focus at all.

Vogg's biggest influence is Dime. He's mentioned this a million times in interviews. Just look at the guitars he plays. Listen to the riffs. The music is absolutely influenced by Pantera. There's Dime riffage all over those albums. It's not hard to hear.

Definitely not the Decapitated of old, but I'm really enjoying the record. Bits of Pantera, Meshuggah, Soilwork, Loomis vibe etc.

My place just got a lot more tidy.

Well I've only heard one Psycroptic album and it's way more wanky than this. This is almost progressive thrash at times.
