Do you think that we'll ever have a fourth album or this will remain kind of a ''trilogy'' ?

I wouldn't bet on it. But you can satisfy your hunger with the Beth Gibbons record right now if you haven't heard it already. It too is a masterwork of Portishead's usual proportions.

Not saying they sound like tjem, but every time I listen to Portishead I end up turning them off and listen to Massive Attack.
Never forget Portishead in the Birdhouse, The End video.

I'm also a big fan of the live album. I typically don't care for live albums much, but it works well for Portishead.

The melancholy of Portishead is in part what makes them special.

Yeah Beth always seems to be dumped by the worst assholes on the planet - always heart broken. Her voice is quite the highlight. Add 2 creative musicians and you got good, unique stuff.

You can easily listen to these 2 full albums on youtube. Quite mandatory listens (especially the first one ''Dummy'')

If you like that, hunt down Concert Privé from 2008. Great footage made right after 3. Professionally shot and everything but sadly never legitimately released.
