I'll be in Los Angeles next weekend...my friend used to work for Tracii Guns so we're getting hooked up with the L.A. Guns show at The Whiskey on 7/21. Should be fun. Drinks at the Rainbow to surely follow after.

Bodom put on a great show both times I saw them, they just sounded like total dogshit. Same problem I have with Hatebreed's live mix: entirely too much bottom end and bass drums, too little of everything else.

both times I've seen them before

- the mix was terrible, horrible live sound
- the band was hammered and sloppy as hell

not a great combo, hoping they're better this time around. nice small venue should mean I can get a good spot right up at the stage this time.

A couple years ago, maybe just 1, Alexi went on record to like, apologize for always being drunk. So I think he's kinda trying to back off the alcohol. My biggest problem with Bodom live is the setlist

I saw Iron Maiden and Ghost on Saturday night. I was considering going to Metallica on Sunday as well, but the tickets were ridiculously expensive.

Nothin' on my plate until MDF next year. I'm sure that'll likely change, but right now I have nothing planned.

I saw that Dinosaur jr is playing in Ithaca a few weeks after I get there for school. Gonna try and find some people who wanna come with and probably do that. Missing a lot of good stuff in Portland though.

Still haven't seen. Missed a mystery show a couple years ago at the Vans pop up place here in Toronto... and wasn't able to in the spring. Perhaps they'll be back again soon. Since the new album... which is really good.

So I just got offered a free ticket to go see Metallica tonight. Guess I will go, even though I'm not too impressed with the setlist...

They have a few songs that they change out nightly. I know that from Kill 'Em All they've been rotating out Whiplash, The Four Horsemen, Motorbreath, and (the one we got in Toronto) Hit the Lights.

At the very most you should see two songs from Reload, but none from Load, Stanger or Death Magnetic. You might not even get those one or two Reload songs.

Plus that stage is goddamn ridiculous. It really needs to be seen to be believed.

I've heard this, and I usually bring ear pro, but i guess it will be mandatory, are they really significantly louder than a normal show?

It was a cool show, but I would never had payed $285 (for the tickets I got)!! It's a shame that knowing that the genereal concensus is that MoP is their best album, they only just played one track from that album..
