Was about to preorder. Fuck shipping. After shipping and exchange it comes to just under $50. Can't do it anymore. That's why I stopped as I mentioned in another thread recently. The worst.

Yep that's what stopped me from pulling the trigger as well. I've already called some guy at a record store nearby and he'll be able to have it for way less, so it's all good.

Good timing, or maybe synchronicity. I was just listening to Drudkh last night, then I got a notice about this on Facebook this morning :m:

Last one that was really good / innovative was Rebel Extravaganza. Pass.. it's all leftovers since then. The fire that made this band interesting is long gone.

volcano and now diabolical had a few moments that were way catchier than they should have been

I've always had a soft spot for Volcano (and Satyricon in general) but by the time 'Now, Diabolical' came out, that formula had already grew old for me. I appreciated that they tried some new things on their S/T, most notably on 'Phoenix', but I just wish they went all the way in that direction because the rest of the album wasn't as interesting imo.

I have a feeling that they'll come up with something really different this time around, so I'll give it a try for sure.

Haven't heard a damn thing from Satyricon post-Nemesis. By all accounts I don't really need to.

I've only heard Volcano and Now, Diabolical in full. I've heard a few assorted, better, songs but those are the only two full albums I've heard. Since that's where they're at now, I don't see any need to go back and dig in. It's like looking at pictures of a woman at 19 who's 87 now. All you can think is "boy, that sure used to really be something!".

I will listen. Satyricon are one of those bands that I'll always give a chance.

Eh... I'm sure they're great, but when the band has already gone to shit I don't really feel the need to go back and investigate a band that is, for all intents and purposes, dead.
