Thanks for posting Marv!

I've heard the title cut a few days back on PT's FB. I really like the music, but the chorus line, just didn't tweak my tweeter. Listened to the other song, & thank you for posting it, as you know I'm a big PT fan, but to be honest, ever since Mars stopped writing with PT, it's all just been a tad to commercially generic for me. I love his 70's out put! I could piece together a great CD from his 80's Polydor out put, but only one. PT kind of lost me with "Crash & Burn" in 1980, though I do like that album, & the next two. I can take or leave his last Polydor album, "Hot Shot."

Thanks again! :)

Can Do is suppose to be a 'return to form', recently picked up Crash and Burn and Black Pearl on cd, and while still like them they do seem a bit commercial for me now in this day and age but that's exactly what he was going for back then

Or his record company was pushing for commercial success? He did have problems with Polydor. The damn thing about it was, PT was picking up fans like Van Halen was picking up groupies, by the time "Go For What You Know" came out in 1979. I saw that concert, he opened for Rush, & there was more people with PT banners at that concert than Rush banners! Then he changed gears, & Mars was writing less & less with PT. The records suffered, & by the time "Black Pearl" came out, a lot of fans gave up hope, & I was well on my way to being one of them. Sad story. He did some ok stuff for Shrapnel, & other record labels since, but I stopped buying every new album by the mid 90's, which was only three or four.

I don't know how many albums I've heard of PT's that were said to be back to form. I can tell you the first one was "Black Pearl, but with the exception of "Amgwanna Kick Booty' & maybe "Rockin' ", there was no hint of his 70's masterworks on that album. "Crash & Burn" & "Radio Active" each had three or four songs that had the old PT magic, most with Mars co-writing. Only can go to the well so many times, before it runs dry.
