So the KEA vs. KIMB made me think who has the best "average albums". I've based this on rateyourmusic.com average album scores excluding the top and bottom tier albums from both bands. Who wins?

Jeez, outside of KEA and SFSGSW this is a depressive choice of albums...

Tough call...

Kill 'Em All is the only listenable Metallica record of that bunch. So Far So Good So What is a great album, and Cryptic Writings isn't too shabby.

The bad Metallica isn't as terrible as the bad Megadeth, but the good Metallica isn't on the level of the good Megadeth.

So Far So Good So What wins out.

I like all of those Megadeth albums, and the only Metallica I like off that list is Kill'Em All. So Far, So Good...is the best album of the bunch.
Megadeth wins this easily.

Load is still a semi-decent Metallica album at best. No issue with the rest of their mentioned input here but otherwise Megadeth kept being consistent in retaining much of their thrash sound which gave us more quality albums. So, going with them.

I think Load is so much garbage that Megadeth wins solely due to that...

That's basically what I'm voting on, and it goes to So Far So Good.

These guys know the score :m:

That said, I never, ever need to hear Trust again. It's a fine enough song, but it's a momentum murderer in a live setting.

Megadeth....as I enjoy all those albums

Metallica sadly has Load (half a decent album) and Death Magnetic (step in the right direction, but sabotaged by some nasty production)

Metallica, easily.

Megadeth's weaker albums are really bad.

I'll take Megadeth out of those groupings, but KEA is the best album by far of any of them.

I do like SFSGSW, but it doesn't beat Kill Em' All. Not by a long stretch.

Seriously, fuck the other albums in this list.
